null The Deanship concludes the orientation program for faculty members and students entitled “Blackboard System Basics”

The Deanship of Digital Transformation and Knowledge Resources, represented by the Administration of E-Learning and Distance Education, presented four specialized training courses for students and faculty members at the university. These courses were titled "Basics of the E-Learning Management System (Blackboard)", and were presented over four separate days over two weeks, in the morning and evening periods. The aim was to enhance the participants' efficiency in using the system's tools effectively and improving the e-learning experience at the university.
The courses witnessed a great turnout, with about 406 male and female students and approximately 534 faculty members attended. The course content was designed to suit the needs of each category separately.
For students, the focus was on training them on how to navigate within the system and access educational content, in addition to taking assignments and tests and communicating effectively within virtual classrooms. The training also included guidance on organizing the study schedule and making the most of the available Blackboard tools.
As for faculty members, they were trained on how to create and manage educational content using various Blackboard tools, such as recorded lectures and interactive tests. The training also included an explanation of how to monitor and regularly evaluate students’ performance, manage virtual classes, and organize live sessions. It was also explained how to integrate external educational tools with the Blackboard system to enhance the learning experience. At the end of the courses, participants were given the opportunity to raise their questions and discuss the challenges they faced while using the system, where practical solutions and guidance were provided for each category, which helped enhance their understanding of the system and increase their confidence in using it efficiently.
